Exemptions from Business Rates
Appeal My Rates UK
What is an exempt property?
It is a property that would not be entered into the rating list and is therefore exempt from paying business rates.
There is a large list of exempt property categories but here as some of the most common:
Places of religious worship
Agricultural land and buildings
Fish farms
Public parks
Properties used for the disabled
Properties in Enterprise Zones – new enterprise partnerships have now been introduced and these are rated but can get 100% relief if applied for.
What if I think I should be exempt from business rates?
Contact us and we will check at no cost. If you have a case for exemption we will explain how we can help and propose a fee based on what we can save you in rates payable.
